About this levy
The Whatcom County Current Expense levy is the regular property-tax levy that funds the county general fund — sheriff, courts, prosecutor, planning, public health, and central administration. Under RCW 84.55, regular levies can grow no more than 1% per year on the prior-year base, plus additions for new construction.
